Graduates

Trainee Program
Do you intend to plan your career along the lines of your preferred competences from the start and to take a cross-divisional approach in thought and deed? If so, the 24-month trainee program of Commerz Real would be just the thing for you!

As trainee, you will focus on one specialist department, and familiarise yourself with the various tasks and positions of the respective area. Your collaboration in our day-to-day business and in our projects will give you the most diversified insights into the structures and processes of the predefined target area (e.g., asset management, portfolio management, fund controlling and valuations). There is no better way to prepare you for your future assignments.  We will also provide ample opportunity for need-based continued professional development to help you enhance your personal and technical skills.

Prerequisites:

• Initial hands-on experience in the target area of your choice, e.g. through internships
• College or university graduation during the past 12 months
• Advanced foreign language skills, particularly in English and German
• Ambition, commitment, entrepreneurial approach in thought and deed, and great communication skills

Internships

Can you spare at least two months? We offer internships in nearly every division of Commerz Real. Please not that our internships are open exclusively to currently enrolled students. If you are unable to find a suitable opening on our homepage, just send us your CV, stating the business area of your choice and the time during which you would be available.

Thesis Projects (Bachelor, Masters)

If you wish to include us in your thesis project, please submit an abstract in coordination with your faculty mentor. We will then look into possibilities to grant your research request in one of our departments.

Hands-On Experience for Students

You would like to start gathering work experience while still enrolled, and without the time to fill a full-time position? We regularly hire hands-on student help that support us in many business sectors on an hourly basis. Study Group

Our study group includes students from universities and universities of applied sciences who are prepared parallel to their courses of study for future employment with our company. The underlying idea is to confer to young graduates a sphere of responsibility at Commerz Real that is commensurate with their qualifications. This offer is aimed above all at our former trainees, interns, and young professionals who have gone on to enrol in a degree program.

Vocational Training

Each year, we are hiring new apprentices at our two business locations in Wiesbaden and Düsseldorf. Below, you will find the various professional development options available in the company.

Vocational Training as Clerk for Office Communication (Wiesbaden or Düsseldorf)

Use the state-of-the-art possibilities our company offers to experience a vibrant and forward-looking vocational training career. During the two and a half years that you will spend in training with us, you will pass through various divisions of the company, and work at the switchboards of management support within in an international setting. Skills you will acquire include, while not being limited to:

• Compiling reports, presentations, statistics, etc.
• Handling correspondence
• Preparing meetings
• Facilitating projects autonomously
• Routinely operating computer systems

You will acquire theoretical knowledge through in-house classes and at vocational school classes which will be scheduled in several blocks. You will be optimally prepared for the final exam (English language certification optional) before the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK).

Vocational Training as Real Estate Agent (Wiesbaden)

During your two and a half years of training as real estate agent, you will pass through several divisions of our company. You will get to know and understand the richly varied world of the real estate business. This includes, while not being limited to:

• Acquiring and selling properties, as well as letting and managing them
• Developing real estate-related services and marketing concepts
• Developing company- and client-oriented financing concepts
• Analysing real estate markets

You will acquire theoretical knowledge through in-house classes and vocational school classes which will be offered on a part-time schedule. You will be optimally prepared for the final exam before the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK).

Dual-Degree Program (Bachelor of Arts in Real Estate Economics)(Wiesbaden)

We are offering a dual degree program in collaboration with the Cooperative State University of Baden-Württemberg in Mannheim. Hands-on training stints in the real estate division of Commerz Real alternate with curricular study phases at the Cooperative University in three-month increments. During the job experience phases, you will get to know and understand the richly varied world of the real estate business. After six semesters, you will graduate with a Bachelor of Arts.

To enrol in any of the aforesaid professional development programs you should meet the following requirements:

• The foundation for starting your professional development is a good secondary school grade average. If you have your advanced or intermediate secondary school diplomas (for office communication clerk) or advanced secondary school diploma qualifying you for enrolment in a vocational college (real estate agent), you will be just right for the job. To qualify for the dual degree program, your grade average in your advanced secondary school diploma should be 2.4 or better.
• Basic skills in working with the Microsoft Office programs Excel and Word will be appreciated.
• Fluency in both German and English, with extended stays in English- and German-speaking countries, will be an asset in the many way-stations of your training career.
