According to the EU Technical Expert Group on Sustainable Finance, around 75% of buildings in Germany alone are energy-inefficient. In a brief interview with the FondsForum, our Executive Board member Dr. Nicole Arnold talks about the path to a transformation of existing cities and the associated opportunities for the future design of holistically sustainable cities.

During the panel discussion at the Institutional Pensions and Investors Summit (IAIG), for example, Kerstin Struckmann, Head of Product and Mandate Management at Commerz Real, noted that renewable energy investments have now become an integral part of many investment portfolios of institutional investors. However, new challenges such as the changed interest rate landscape have now made a more differentiated view of the performance potential necessary.
