Around 29 million people in Germany volunteer - a true backbone of our society¹. It is no wonder that we are promoting volunteering at Commerz Real. With real values in the double sense, we are committed to social commitment and have set up a special programme for this purpose. CR Volunteering gives our employees space and time to volunteer. In doing so, we create the basis for our employees to be able to use one working day a year for social engagement.

Volunteering during working hours? We make it possible

In practical terms, this means that we give our employees one working day or eight working hours per year to volunteer as an incentive to volunteer. Each and every one of us can decide for ourselves how and where we want to engage socially. 

The first is the most difficult: We also help you get started

Sometimes the intention of volunteering is easier to understand than it is to implement. So that the first contact or the question of how to get involved is not too difficult, we offer our employees to try it out directly at the facilities of our district partnerships. At our two main locations in Wiesbaden and Düsseldorf, we support various institutions as part of these partnerships and together with Caritas and Diakonie. This gives our employees the opportunity to try out very different areas.

In addition to volunteering activities, for example at the Justus von Liebig primary school in Wiesbaden-Erbenheim or at the Diakonie in Düsseldorf Flingern-Süd, our annual Social Days also offer the opportunity to get to know the institutions and the different needs of volunteer offices. In principle, however, there are no limits to the commitment. For example, we have a huge range of volunteer positions in our team, from membership in the voluntary fire brigade, active environmental protection and German teaching for refugees to working in social cafés. A contribution from our employees that makes us proud.
