Commerz Real has leased around 4,300 square metres of logistics space to Deutsche Post/DHL in the Visio business park in Munich for at least 10 years to set up a new delivery point. From September this year, the sorting, picking and delivery of letters and parcels will take place there, including with electric cargo bikes and small vans. Until now, these so-called “last mile” services have been handled in the former parcel post office, the area of which is currently being developed into a mixed-use district.
The Visio commercial park at Landsberger Straße 159-175/Friedrich-von-Pauli-Straße 11-21 comprises a total of around 55,000 square metres of rental space and is part of the hausInvest real estate fund portfolio of Commerz Real in January 2018. It currently houses a DIY store, a gym, an office furniture supplier, a self-storage centre, event locations and various other companies. Thanks to its central location and good connections via Landsberger Straße and public transport, the site is easily accessible from all directions.
In addition to Visio, the Munich portfolio of hausInvest includes 17 other properties worth more than two billion euros. These include the Tucherpark in the Eisbach district, the Seidl Forum, the Munich Palais at Jakobsplatz, the Karolinen Karree in Karlstraße, The Seven in Müllerstraße and the Nymphenburger Höfe in Nymphenburger Straße. The portfolio also includes various residential properties.
