Commerz Real sold the Marriott Charles de Gaulle Airport Hotel near Paris Airport to the international asset manager AEW. The tangible asset subsidiary of Commerzbank had acquired the property in 2002 at the time of completion as part of a sale and lease-back for its hausInvest open-ended real estate fund. Initially opened as a courtyard, it was rebranded and upgraded to a 4-star Marriott hotel back in 2007.
Located on a plot of land with around 17,000 square metres of rental space, the building has 300 rooms, a spacious lobby with integrated bar, a restaurant, almost 2,500 square metres of conference space with an approx. 550 square metre ballroom, a fitness area as well as over 133 underground car park spaces, 131 additional parking spaces in the outdoor area and 3 bus parking spaces.
