Social Day 2023 in Wiesbaden Erbenheim-Hochfeld at the Caritas district centre. Painted palettes with flower dots.

Around 60 Commerz Real employees rolled up their sleeves on Wednesday to support the Caritas district centre in Wiesbaden-Erbenheim. As part of this year’s company Social Day, the volunteers in Erbenheim-Hochfeld contributed to Caritas’ goal of improving living and living conditions in the district.

Caritas only opened the centre in March of this year - there was still a lot to do. For example, painting work was carried out in the district centre, in-kind donations were sorted, sorted and labelled, raised beds were designed for urban gardening, seating was built, outdoor areas were cleaned and a vertical herb bed was installed. In addition, Commerz Real donated a new kitchen and made office furniture available to the district centre.

Our neighbourhood centre aims to create meeting places for the different people in the neighbourhood. Thanks to the energetic support of Commerz Real employees, it is now even better positioned for this.

With our Social Days, we want to make a small but tangible contribution to sustainable neighbourhood development and to improving the living situation at our main locations in Wiesbaden and Düsseldorf. I am proud that our employees showed such commitment and were able to achieve all day’s goals.

"Our neighbourhood centre aims to create meeting places for the different people in the neighbourhood. Thanks to the energetic support of Commerz Real’s employees, it is now even better positioned for this," says Judith Rapp, Head of the district centre. The different offers of Caritas in Erbenheim-Hochfeld strengthen the networking and exchange of people in the district and reduce prejudices.

A week ago, Commerz Real held a Social Day in Düsseldorf-Flingern on the campus of the Diaconia.
